We offer riding lessons for all experience and ability levels, ages 3 and up. Our professional and insured instructors focus on eventing, dressage, hunter/jumper and endurance, but also teach driving, trail, and gaited riding.
Competition opportunities are available starting with leadline and going through FEI in hunter/jumper, eventing, dressage, and distance riding. We also have an active working student and intern program. For our younger riders (ages 3 to 6ish) we offer a 'pony ride' session which focuses on core strength, balance, and attention skills. Starting around age 7, we offer private and semi-private lessons. Lessons are tailored to each rider's goals, strengths, and needs. Horsemanship and equine care is incorporated into each lesson. Adult amateurs and recreational riders are strongly encouraged!! |
Safe lesson horses and comfortable riding equipment are provided, and we also welcome haul-ins. Please wear long pants and sturdy boots at all times while on the farm.
Riders need to have a current ASTM approved riding helmet. Helmets are available at the farm or locally at Maryland Saddlery or Dover Saddlery. Lessons are available by appointment only, seven days a week. We also offer competition opportunities, social and educational events, internships, summer camps, and working student programs.
